Established Since

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

Proverbs 16:3

We opened our doors August 24, 2009 to the first class of 9 women.  It took nearly 75 volunteers logging in close to 1000 work hours in addition to the full-time office staff of three.  The students, volunteers, and teachers came to class that fall excited and ready to begin.  Classes were held in the 1st Baptist Church of Grand Prairie. Since then we have moved to a more visible location right in the heart of Grand Prairie on Main Street.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

Purpose

The purpose of Christian Women's Job Corps®, a ministry of Woman's Missionary Union (WMU), is to provide a Christian context in which women in need are equipped for life and employment; and a missions context in which women help women.

We continue to meet women exactly where they are at and help to give them a bright future.

Future

Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Luke 12:32

Effective January 1, 2015, CWJC-GP became an independent site.  Up until that time we were a satellite site of the Dallas Christian Women’s Job Corps.  As an independent site, we have our own Board of Directors and the freedom to expand the program to meet the varied adult educational needs in Grand Prairie and the surrounding communities.
